After performing the song at the Billboard Awards last month and last night at the MuchMusicAwards in Toronto, pitchy pop empress Katy Perry has finally unleashed the music video for Wide Awake on the web. While I feel most of her videos are irritatingly contrived, I actually like this video. On the other hand she still gets no love for the fact that she re-released her Teenage Dream tracks with three new songs on it just so she could unashamedly beat Michael Jackson's record for the most #1 hits off his classic album Thriller.
The song is part of her upcoming 3D movie Katy Perry: Part Of Me, which will be in theaters July 5th.
