UPCOMING AMY WINEHOUSE MEMOIR TO REVEAL STAGE FRIGHT, PLASTIC SURGERY, AND DRUG ABUSE

For the past few months since her death, the music world has been missing the presence that was the musical genius of singer/tortured soul Amy Winehouse. Now comes word that her father Mitch has written a memoir chronicling Amy's troubles in Amy, My Daughter.

In the memoir, which is scheduled for release on June 26, Mitch divulges further into Amy’s private life, including her stage fright, her infatuation with plastic surgery, his fear that her dependency on alcohol would be her final downfall, and why she grew to hate the songs on her breakthrough album, Back To Black.

“Long before Amy was an addict, no one could tell her what to do,” Mitch Winehouse writes. “Once she became an addict, her stubbornness just got worse. There were times when she wanted to be clean, but the times when she didn’t outnumbered them.”

According to Mitch, after Amy divorced Blake Incarcerated in 2009, she grew to despise the songs on BTB because all the songs on the album were inspired by their relationship (take note Adele). She hated performing the songs so much that Amy would get shit-faced drunk to get through the songs. Mitch also said he never understood his daughter's infatuation with Blake: ”It wasn’t as if he brought much good into her life, or so it seemed to me,” he writes.
