SPICE GIRLS REUNITE FOR VIVA FOREVER MUSICAL

When I was growing up, I will admit that I was a huge listener to the Spice Girls. I'm always a sucker for women who promote self-empowerment through loving yourself and catchy, fun pop anthems instead of writhing half naked in a music video to some bad techno. Since the group broke up over a decade ago (after selling over 75 million albums), they've all been busy with having kids, getting married and working on music (the most successful of course being Victoria Beckham).

Now the ladies have finally reunited at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel to reveal a new musical project based on the group called Viva Forever. Here's a gaggalicious tidbit: The hotel is the same place they shot their debut video and #1 single Wannabe back in 1996.

Below is a synposis of the show:

As one girl follows her dreams, VIVA FOREVER! charts her journey into the world of overnight celebrity and its impact on her mother, and the friends she thought she’d have forever. From London to Spain and back again, as the world judges you, it’s all about who you really are and who you want to be, whatever the cost.

Viva Forever will debut at London's West End theater district and I'm curious if it does well there could we get to see it on Broadway? The Spice Girls have plenty of fans here and I'm sure there are planty of tourists who would definitely pay to see this on a Broadway stage. It could be worse. Once it comes to the States it could be the next Taboo. Anyways, previews for Viva Forever start November 27 and the official show kicks off December 11 at London’s Piccadilly Theatre. But enough about the play. I cannot get over the bitch please! pose Posh is giving in the top photo.
