As promised Milla Jovovich stopped at the Regal Union Square Cinemas in New York City this morning to answer a few questions for the fans (watch here) before premiering the new trailer for Resident Evil: Retribution.
In Resident Evil: Retribution, the Umbrella Corporation's deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race's last and only hope, Alice (Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella's most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.
Love 'em or hate 'em (I read the shade on the fan blogs everytime the movies are mentioned), the Resident Evil movies have grossed a whopping $700 million worldwide. I'm a huge fan of Milla Jovovich as an action star and as long as the films get better I'll keep watching. I've never expected a well-written script and character development to come from these films like what we get from the awesome AMC series The Walking Dead, but this movie looks pretty cool for the eye candy alone.
P.S. Milla was so cool for taking the time to answer a few more questions even after they told her to wrap it up and even did one of her famous lines as Leeloo in The Fifth Element.
Screen Gems will release Resident Evil: Retribution, in state-of-the art 3D, in the United States on September 14, 2012.
