Mariah Carey has been M.I.A. from the music world for quite sometime (since 2009 to be exact) and her presence has been sorely missed. I know she's been working hard in the studio on new music, in between planning her renewal ceremony in Paris and raising twins (as well as nursing her husband Nick, who had a few health scares a few months back back to health).
Well Mimi has finally given us a musical update on what she's been cooking up in the studio.
“So.. Summer 2012.. Been in the lab, mixing up some concoctions for you, hope you like it!! #MCSummer2012,” tweeted the artist, including the above photo. So far only Jermaine Dupri and professional celebrity name dropper Randy Jackson have been credited with working on this new album, and I'm hoping it's more Emancipation of Mimi (but on another level with some house tracks thrown in) and less Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.
I know she's hinting at a possible summer release of the album, but with July around the corner, in reality I'm guessing the album will be out in early fall. Release at least two singles to get the fans' palettes wet.
