For those who have ever looked at those infamous Abercrombie & Fitch catalogues, then you are all aware that the company is no stranger to controversy.
TMZ Is reporting that a former employee at the clothing store is suing the company after he claims they sent him to a modeling agency that required him to pleasure himself on camera.
The model, named Benjamin Bowers says he was referred to agent Brian Hilburn by the Abercrombie & Fitch casting director. Bowers claims that, after flying to Jackson, Mississippi, for a photo shoot, he was coaxed into masturbating in the nude in order to achieve a more "relaxed" look for his modeling portfolio.
“Hilburn convinced Benjamin that he needed to display a relaxed look for his modeling portfolio, and the best way of achieving that look was to masturbate in front of the camera, so the photog could capture his expression immediately after orgasm,” TMZ explains about the lawsuit. “And for good measure, Hilburn allegedly told him the drill was to do the whole thing in the buff.”
Benjamin also claims that Hilburn also exposed himself during the shoot, and that he "feels used and believes the photos were never intended to help his career."
This all happened a year and two days ago, and Benjamin is suing the company for $1 million. A&F is no stranger to lawsuits themselves. There have been complaints that the company forces employees to buy and wear their products, and racial, religious and physical disability accusations have hovered over them like a dark cloud. And let's not forget the lawsuit filed by reality star Mike "the Situation" Sorrentino when he said they used his likeness to sell their products in their stores without his permission.
