JUSTIN COMBS SPEAKS OUT ON FOOTBALL SCHOLARSHIP CONTROVERSY

After Diddy's son came under fire for reportedly receiving $54,000 in scholarship money from UCLA, Justin Combs has finally spoken out on Twitter. Apparently people feel that since his father is worth $475 million that Diddy should be the one paying for his tuition and that Justin should not be taking scholarship money that could go to someone who is less financially fortunate.

Here is what Justin had to say on Twitter:

“Regardless what the circumstances are, I put that work in!!!! PERIOD,” the 18-year-old defensive back tweeted.

Combs continued, “Regardless of what you do in life every1 is gonna have their own opinion. Stay focused, keep that tunnel vision & never 4get why u started.”

While Diddy has been remarkably silent on the issue, Justin's mother stylist Misa Hylton gave her two cents, saying, “My Son is his own man. He will earn his own way through life.”

Hylton let all the naysayers know that her son is receiving a merit-based scholarship that won’t have any effect on need-based aid packages for other students,

“You want to penalize my son for working hard and putting education first? Shame on you,” she wrote, adding, “He deserves to be rewarded.”

Here's what I think. I believe there is nothing wrong with Justin receiving a scholarship. From what I saw his GPA is excellent and he's been working hard with playing football in school, which got him the scholarship in the first place. We don't necessarily know if Diddy told Justin that since he is an adult that he's going to have to figure out a way to pay for his tuition. Some people believe that because some children come from wealthy families that they are entitled to a handout, but from how this sounds I feel Justin earned his stripes and people need to worry about far more inportant things than what he is doing.
