When I heard Ciara was hard at work on her make-it-or-break-it album, One Woman Army, I was beyond excited because while others had written her off I always saw the potential in CiCi as being a cross between Britney Spears (before she went cray cray) and the late Aaliyah.
While she did come across as a bootleg Janet with her last few albums, it's great to finally get a first listen to her new single Sweat, which takes us back to the days when she introduced us to her "Goodies."
“I worked with some people that are very fresh, which I’m excited about,” Ciara revealed. “When it comes to artists, when it comes to writers, when it comes to producers, I really wanted to push. We pretty much reached out and worked with a lot of people that I’ve never worked with before, which is really fun.”
I'm so glad L.A. Reid has taken her under his wing again because Ciara went HAM on this track and I feel if this album doesn't put CiCi on top, then people are just fucking stupid and have absolutely no taste in music. Can't wait to see the choreography for the video.
One Woman Army, which features production by Tricky Stewart, The Underdogs’ Harvey Mason Jr. and Damon Thomas, among others will be out later this year.
