While the only female that seems to be ruining hip hop at the moment is none other than harajuku clown Nicki Garbaj, it was great to see the Queen Bee herself come back to reclaim her throne. Last night Lil Kim kicked off her Return of The Queen tour at the Paradise Theater in the Bronx and fellow femcees Pepa (of Salt & Pepa) EVE and Missy Elliott came out to support as well as Mob Wives star Drita Davanzo, Love & Hip Hop’s Somaya Reece and Yandy Smith (who is pregnant).
I'm sure some of you are wondering what the hell was Drita doing on stage with Kim, and if you've been watching Mob Wives this season then you would know that Diddy's people reached out to her to appear in French Montana's music video and even put one of her rap verses in the video. Kim saw a few videos of Drita on Youtube covering her songs at parties and she asked the reality star to host and perform on stage with her.
I just have to say with so much beef going around with alot of these rap chicks these days, it's good to see women actually supporting each other and it's awesome to see some real hip hop at it's grimiest without all the bells and whistles. Now can we get a Ladies Night Part 2 please?
