WATCH: MADONNA PERFORMS EXPRESS YOURSELF/BORN THIS WAY/SHE'S NOT ME IN TEL AVIV

Earlier today Madonna kicked off her MDNA tour in Tel Aviv, and the performance that has all the blogs buzzing (which is exactly what the mother of publicity wants) is her Born This Way/Express Yourself mashup.

Dressed in a marching band outfit (which I'm sure was inspired by her horrible single Give Me All Your Luvin', which was inspired by Gwen Stefani's Hollaback Girl), she proceeded to go back and forth between the songs before throwing in lines from her Hard Candy track She's Not Me.

As a bonafide Madonna fan, I have to say the jabs at Gaga come across as desperate for attention and pathetic and I would think for someone who is decades older than Gaga that you would take the high road and come across a bit more mature. but I guess when you have run out of ideas and haven't put as much thought and creativity into MDNA like your previous albums, the best you could do is pick a fight with another singer who after four years in the game is fresh out of ideas.

I also noticed in the performance (besides the part of the show where she points a gun at the audience - in a country plagued by war, no less) that Madonna looked pretty exhausted and this is the first show. Clearly instead of makimg music to show the new generation how a performer really gets down she's busy coming down to their level and putting out uninspired dance music. So if you care, check out Madonna and her rickety bones work up a sweat below...

In the other two videos which open the show, Madonna, who I feel has gotten a little too caught up in her own self-righteous attitude towards peace and spirituality ever since Ray of Light finally brought her respect as a musician talks to the audience about things that are important to her, like peace in the world after a violent opening number.
