For those of you who may not know, I am a HUGE fan of 80's and 90's action movies. I grew up watching Bruce Willis in all the Die Hard movies, as well as films by Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, Donnie Yen, Sly Stallone, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. So when Sly came out with The Expendables back in 2010, I was like a fanboy's dream come true.
After the success of the first film Sly and the gang have reunited once again for the highly-anticpiated sequel, along with returning action icons Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, and Randy Couture. New additions to the cast are Chinese female action star Yu Nan, The Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth and action legend Chuck Norris.
Also Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis return with meatier roles, while Jean-Claude Van Damme this time around plays the villain. This is a testosterone-fueled action fan's wet dream (aka my Sex And The City) and I...CAN'T...FUCKING...WAIT...FOR...AUGUST...TO...GET...HERE!
