We were given a little teaser a few months back of the highly-anticipated finale in Christopher Nolan's Bat-trilogy (which showed a football field being blown up, Selena Kyle out of her Catwoman costume, and Bane mumbling something in a mask), and now that we are about a month and some change from the movie's premiere, Mr. Nolan has unleashed the official trailer.
I metaphorically shit and came all over myself watching this trailer multiple times, and while I am excited to see The Avengers this weekend, The Dark Knight Rises is THE film I'm most excited to see.
The Dark Knight Rises, which hits theaters on July 20, stars Oscar winner Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle/Catwoman; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake. Returning to the main cast, Oscar winner Michael Caine plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman reprises the role of Lucius Fox.
