While performing in Atlantic City, Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson stopped in the middle of performing Stupid Girl and proceeded to scold a man in the audience for hitting the woman in front of him. I've always admired how ballsy Shirley has always been and I love the fact that she has never succombed to the pressures of the mainstream music industry on how a woman should be in regards to her sexuality (something we can't say about the current crop of sexually-charged broads out right now who think sexuality is defined by the lack of clothing).
In order to break the audience hostility due to the sudden outburst, Shirley the trooper took a moment to dance on stage with band member Duke Eriksson before they went back into Stupid Girl.
