So as previously announced, Rihanna performed last night on SNL (which was also her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown's 23rd B-day, no less) and performed three songs from her latest album. The first performance was a medley of Birthday Cake/Talk That Talk, which had a few annoyances, such as the heavy echo on her mic, and the tepid dancing. I wasn't expecting her to make an attempt to stay vocally on key (when has there ever been a time when she didn't sound pitchy live?), so I just tried my best to pay attention to the sexually-forced stage performance.
I will say she did sound much better and definitely came alive during her performance for Where Have You Been.
