Like another celebrity by the name of Jim Parsons, can the following story get a big fat DUH? Food Network chef Anne Burrell was outed by former Queer Eye For The Straight Guy co-host and personality Ted Allen while being interviewed on the Derek and Romaine show on Sirius XM.
Allen said,"I am not going to put a label on Anne, but she is dating a woman right now."
While some who have no gaydar whatsoever may be shocked by this news, Burrell's camp says she was never in the closet.
"Anne doesn’t feel she was outed," her rep tells the paper. "She has made no secret of her relationship. Her significant other is a very private woman. They have been together for a couple of years and spend a lot of time together. It is no secret in the culinary world."
Word on the street is that Burrell is dating another TV chef, and I'm sure it's not Cat Cora. While I'm a bit annoyed that people feel the need to have to shout their sexuality from the rooftops in order for it to be news, I will be keeping an eye out as to who Ann might be dating.
