On Thurdsay I was busy posting a few music videos off of Vimeo when I accidentally came across the music video for Pauly D's new track Night of My Life featuring his friend Dash (which is also the theme song to his spin-off show, The Pauly D Project).
So things got quite interesting when Pauly, who wouldn't be where he is today if not for a certain reality train wreck of a show, which features a bunch of guidos going to the gym, getting tanned, doing laundry, getting drunk at the club and having promiscuous sex decided to tweet Deadmau5 and ask him his opinion about his new song. let's just say Mr. DelVecchio didn't get the response he hoped for.
@DJPaulyD: “How do you like my new video?”
@deadmau5: “Well since you asked, I didn’t really enjoy it. it looked like it cost about $150 to make, and nothing really creative about it.”
@DJPaulyD: “T-Shirt $40 Jeans $120 Hair Gel $12 Being Hated On By Deadmau5 #Priceless.”
@deadmau5: “Hating? the f***? you clearly don’t know me enough if you thought that was ‘hating’. was just some friendly-ish advice.”
@deadmau5: “I just thought it was a piece of sh**, in short. typical bottlepopping playpressing garbage im sure everyones sick of.”
@deadmau5: “Well, now that Jersey (and quite possibly the rest of the eastern seaboard) ‘came at me bro’ i guess its time for bed soon,” asking, “k, where the f*** is @snooki at?”
@DJPaulyD: “Well @DeadMau5 Today Was A Pleasure , Hope U Had Fun Too , But I Got Show To Watch Tonight #PaulyDProject U Should Tune In@MTV.”
I have to say I have to 1000% agree with Deadmau5 on this one. The music video looks like footage left on the reality show cutting room floor, and from what Pauly says, it seems like most of the budget went into his wardrobe than an actual concept. The video also features the same cliched bullshit you would normally see in a rap video: A bunch of okay-looking chick gyrating their non-existant asses to some watered-down dance music (I call it dance music for straight frat boys).
I'm also sick and tired of people thinking because you have an opinion that's different than yours that you are a hater. Alot of the fans of people like Beyonce, Gaga and garbaj are quick to pluck the hater card to those who haven't been easily seduced by the bells and whistles. "Hater", like "genius" is thrown around way too much. And sorry Pauly, but I had high hopes for your own show (since I looked at you as the only one who had an actual skill) but it's terrible. Watching you get drunk and spin at a club in Vegas is not entertaining unless the people watching are there to party as well. So without further talk on this matter, let's compare songs by Pauly and Deadmau5 and see who comes out on top (you can pretty much guess who in the dance music world I'm showing more respect towards).
