DAFT PUNK JUST WORKED WITH GEORGIO MORODER ON NEW TRACK
OMG I'm about to die and go to EDM heaven. Word on the street is that French electro-house visionaries Daft Punk has just collaborated with legendary disco producer Georgio Moroder on a new song for their upcoming album. For those of you out ther who love EDM, this is the best news ever! For those who are musically retarded, let me school you for a second. georgio Moroder is the man behind some of the biggest hits of the 70's and 80's such as some of the late Donna Summer's biggest hits like I Feel Love, Blondie's Call Me and Berlin's Take My Breath Away, to name a few.
Here is what URB is reporting:
During a one-on-one interview at International Music Summit in Ibiza, the producer behind genre-defining songs such as “I Feel Love” and “The Chase” revealed that he recently went into the studio with the French duo.
The robots asked the Munich Machine to go into a vocal booth and speak about his life. In the studio were multiple microphones of various vintages from the ’60s to today. When Moroder asked the engineer why they had so many mics, he replied that the mic they would use would depend on what decade of his life he was speaking about. When Moroder asked if anyone would know the difference, the engineer replied “They will know.”
With so many deaths that have shattered the disco community for the last week, hearing Georgio back in the music scene is definitely some great news. I just hope since legendary disco producer Nile Rodgers produced some tracks on Adam Lambert's and the upcoming albums from Daft Punk and La Roux, I hope 72-year-old Georgio decides to come back to making music again.
While we patiently wait for Daft Punk to release their first album of original material since the TRON Legacy soundtrack, take a listen to a few Moroder classics below...
