After weeks of stills and hype, the official trailer for Magic Mike has finally arrived. While I did think we would be getting the male version of Showgirls, it's coming across more like Demi Moore's Striptease, which was a shitty movie based on a really good book. I understand in mainstream Hollywood you can't sell a movie with a bunch of hot guys bumping and grinding practically naked on a stage, but my cup of tea would have been for the movie to have a much grittier feel, especially with the past movies Steven Soderberg has done. I don't see the comedy in stripping. In fact, I think Magic Mike is better suited for the Skinemax market, because this movie just ain't hot. Sorry, but if I can't see a lot of Alex Pettyfer, Joe Mangianello, Matt Bomer, Adam Rodriguez, Matthew McConaughey and Tatum in the trailer in their skivvies (which is probably because Hollyweird is uncomfortable showing a trailer full of peen), I don't care.
