RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE SEASON 4 EPISODE 10 - DILFs (Dads I'd Like To Frock)
I'm going to be honest about something. Whenever RuPaul announces that he's bringing a queen back on the show when we're down to the final four ladies oftentimes it runs me the wrong way because you never know if the person Ru will bring back will be someone who is a fan favorite or someone we can't stand the sight of.
So when Ru told the final four queens he was bringing back a former contestant, my gut told me that Kenya Michaels would be the one to walk through the door one more time, I really hoped her choice of queen would be either Jiggly Caliente or Willam, just to piss Phi Phi O' Hara off. So when my instinct proved to be right and Kenya came back, I got a bit worried because she and Phi Phi got close on the show, and the last thing you want is an opportunist like Phi Phi to get a leg up over the other girls.
For the mini challenge the queens had to design drag teddy bears which were later donated to the Matthew Shepard Foundation. Kenya won the mini challenge, and for the main challenge the ladies had to turn five DILFs into smoking hot MILFs. Phi Phi and Kenya got the hottest daddies (a plan Phi Phi helped conspire) while the other ladies got scraps.
Said plan proved to be troublesome for Kenya who's model proved to be quite difficult (especially when it came to rehearsing the choreography in heels and tucing his junk), and Sharon's model who she vageniusly named Robin Mansions butted heads for a moment with Chad Michaels in the workroom. It wasn't all drama though. Phi Phi's model Gi Gi O' Hara practiced tucking before he came on the show, one of models seemed to enjoy playing with his fake boobs a little too much, and another couldn't wait to get into a pair of pumps.
Phi Phi won the DILF to Milf challenge and what surprised me is that this was the first time during the judge's deliberation that Phi Phi showed any kind of emotion, which revealed itself when GiGi revealed how much fun he had working with Phi and how he would love to have someone like him for a son. As much shit as I have been giving Phi Phi (which was well-deserved), Miss O' Hara winning the challenge was well earned. I wasn't expecting Latrice to be in the bottom but unfortunately she had to lip sync for her life with Kenya Michaels, the latter who had to sashay away again. I knew Latrice had the lip-sync in the bag because when you sing Aretha Franklin's iconic hit Natural Woman, you bring old school elegance to the performance. You need to feel the performance as opposed to ripping off your wig, and doing Beyonce-esque choreography and pirouettes. Let's just hope this is the last time Ru brings back an eliminated queen and leaves the second chance challenges to his All Stars spin-off.
Anyways check out the full episode with guest judges Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jennifer Love Hewitt as well as Untucked! where the queens and the DILFs reveal what they thought about working with each other below...
