AURAL ORGASM: WYCLEF JEAN - JUSTICE (If You're 17)

It's been a while since we've heard some new music from Wyclef jean, and now the former Fugee/producer has unleashed a brand new track called “Justice (If You’re 17),” which was inspired by the tragic killing of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. While I appreciate the fact that attention is being brought to something that has been going on for a long time (but has been buried under many a rug), this sounds like every other Wyclef song no one has dared to buy - some wannabe-Bob Marley track that should have stayed on the cutting-room floor. At least Lauryn Hill had the sense to fuck one and get pregnant six times (which may explain why she's a little cray cray).

Don't get me wrong I'm not throwing shade at the tragedy that Trayvon had to endure and his family who are still suffering such a devastating loss, but like I have said many times we need to get just as outraged when it comes to black-on-black crime as we do when white folk do it.
