AURAL ORGASM: CHERYL COLE - CALL MY NAME
Cheryl Cole may have struggled to become a household name outside of her hugely popular music group Girls Aloud (I favor her to the UK what Nicole Scherzinger is to the US), the third time may be the charm since the singer has released the first single from her forthcoming third album.
Cheryl has accepted that she's a hot chick with an ok singing voice, and has smartly teamed up with rising Scottish DJ/Producer Calvin Harris (who produced the best dance tracks off of Rihanna's Talk That Talk album, and Scissor Sisters new single Only The Horses) to produce a brand spankin' new dance track called Call My Name. While it's not as infectuous as, say, We Found Love, it will definitely get her some spins in the club and most likely on the US Billboard charts. I also think Simon Cowell needs to reconsider adding her as a judge to the US X Factor (since she only lasted two episodes before he replaced her with Nicole), especially since Cheryl could use all the help she can ger breaking into the Stares.
Cheryl's third solo album, “A Million Lights” drops on June 18th.
