TONI BRAXTON ON THE SET OF I HEART YOU MUSIC VIDEO; ALBUM NEWS
Braxton Family Values may have closed out their second season this past Thursday, but don't think eldest sister Toni is slowing down anytime soon. The 44-year-old songstress, who gave us the freebie buzz single I Heart You released some stills from the set of the music video, and is set to release her eighth album Heartstrings and Synagogue Vibes in May.
Discussing the record with That Grape Juice, she said: "You're going to want to dance all night. Let's say it's probably very 'Last Dance'-ish.
"I'm kind of a beast in the studio - I'm a perfectionist. I repeat things, I want to get it right!"
Heartstrings & Synagogue Vibes follows 2010's Pulse, which peaked at number nine in the US and 28 in the UK and spawned the hit single 'Yesterday'.
I love her new single, since it takes me back to the days of old school house, but in this era of shitty mainstream Euro pop, let's all keep our fingers crossed that Toni can have a bigger smash with this new album. I'm also not feeling that album title. Heartstrings and Synagogue Vibes? Really? Are we trying to appeal to the Hasidic audience? I doubt they even know who Toni even is. I say come up with a hotter title something that will get people interested in your music.
