While Shakira has failed to capture the American market she briefly held when she released her Laundry Service album over a decade ago, the Colombian superstar is looking to jump on the dance bandwagon for her next english-language outlet. Looking to re-establish herself on American radio, the singer is working with Akon, RedOne, DJ Afrojack and LMFAO on her new album (the latter shown in the pic above).
LMFAO became huge off of two songs, so for Madonna and now Shakira to jump on the bandwagon and work with them is a definite downgrade. Her desperate need to be a part of the US mainstream and her willingness to water down her talent to do so is a bad idea. I do hope she can get more out of them than she did when she worked on her last album with Timbaland, among others.
