SANDRA BERNHARD OUTS WHITNEY HOUSTON ON THE ROSIE SHOW
I have been watching The Rosie Show since the beginning, and her One on One reboot of the show is in my opinion the best makeover the show could ask for. Anyways, I was watching earlier this week when Sandra Bernhard was on and Rosie asked her about Whitney Houston, to which the comic/singer/actress alluded to the fact that the reason why Whitney didn't survive is because she had suppressed her sexuality for all these years that she covered it up in drugs which unfortunately led to her death. I actually wish Rosie would have given Sanda a full hour interview instead of bringing on Rocco Dispirito (who I also like), because Sandra is always a great interview. I was slso hoping she would ask Sandra if she's still friends with Madonna, but I'm thinking she wouldn't go there because she's still BFF's with the Material Girl.
Before all the Whitney stans comes out with their torches, I have to say she is not the first or last person to believe this theory. I even believe Whitney couldn't deal with her love for women (as in her BFF Robyn Crawford) and drowned her sorrows in drugs. When you are a megastar and a black one at that, with so much pressure on you from the world to be this perfect entity, so many things are stacked against you. Being that she was the daughter of a gospel singer the stakes are even worse.
