Breakout Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes has been everywhere lately, guest starring on his prime time shows like The Game, Let's Stay Together and most memorably as swim coach Roz Washington on Glee. Now comes word that the sassy reality star has just snatched a role on a new sitcom pilot for NBC called The New Normal.
The series will center around a gay couple played by Justin Bartha (The Hangover) and Andrew Rannells (Broadway's The Book of Mormon) who are looking to start a family via surrogate. NeNe's role is being tightly kept under wraps (I'm sure she's not the surrogate), but what we do know is that her character's name is Rocky.
I'll go out on a limb to say that most likely NeNe will be playing the sassy best friend of one of the gay characters on the show, most likely Andrew Rannels since I get a vibe that he'll be the more outrageous one on the show. I'm also glad NeNe is broadening her horizons as the better reality star, since all Kim has to fall back on is getting knocked up (again) by Atlanta Falcons player Kroy Biermann and that reality spin-off Don't Be Tardy For The Wedding, which by the way looks like a big cricket. As for Sheree...well...there's always RHWOATL season 5.
