PINK WORKING ON SIXTH ALBUM
P!nk has been M.I.A. for most of 2011 being that she's a new wife and mother, but the pop superstar recently tweeted a new pic of her with light pink hair and als revealed that she's back to work on her sixth album.
Everyone is on the clits of Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Lady GaGa (Rihanna and Katy have taken the most influence from Pink - that Teenage Dream album reaked of Pink), but if there was a time to drop a new album it would be now. P!nk usually flies under the radar when it comes to the tabliods, but her Misundaztood album sold 10 million copies, her last two albums sold five million each and her excellent Funhouse tour made a whopping $150 million. Pink was the only female artist to sell out stadiums in 2010, and she’s arguably the best pop performer/singers on the planet today.
What people should know is that when you sell 10 million records, you can pretty much do whatever you want as an artist, and Pink needs to step away from the pop/rock. Her albums I'm Not Dead and Funhouse had a lot of hits, but they were pretty much similar in tone. “Raise Your Glass” sounded like a leftover track from her Funhouse record (to be fair it was a new single off her greatest Hits album) and as a fan I miss edgy Pink.
I would like Pink to go experimental with her new album and leave Dr. Luke, Max Martin & Shellback alone (since he's working with every mainstream artist) and go back to her Take Me Home roots with some urban tracks.
