It looks like Michael Bay is about to ruin yet another childhood classic of mine. First he ruins Transformers by turning it into three, 2 1/2 hour films filled with unnecessary screaming, non-stop explosive noise, unfunny and stereotypical racist and homophobic toilet jokes and ridiculously bad acting, and now comes word that he wants to remake my favorite childhood series and movie (the first one) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (as a producer) and change them from mutated turtles into aliens from another planet. And knowing the idiots in Hollyweird, just because he's made them millions of dollars with the success of three Transformers movies (with a fourth on the way without Shia Labeouf), they'll let him do whatever he wants including ignore all the source material.
According to Stuff We Like, Bay said this at a Nickelodeon event in New York, "When you see this movie, kids are going to believe, one day, that these turtles actually do exist when we are done with this movie. These turtles are from an alien race and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely lovable."
The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie will be directed by Wrath of the Titan's Jonathan Liebesman, and is scheduled to be released on December 25, 2013.
