After the sad but not surprising death of legendary singer Whitney Houston, for those of us in the east coast who had the pleasure of hearing her infamous 2003 radio interview with Wendy Williams, no one was looking forward to hearing what Wendy had to say about Whitney than yours truly. So when I tuned in this morning to check out Wendy's Hot Topics, the talk show host broke down and talked about her love for Whitney and her own past as a drug user. The segment brought tears to my eyes and I have to say I know people like it when Wendy goes in on celebrities and all, but this is the Wendy Williams that I love.
I loved the fact that almost 10 years ago Wendy was not afraid to call Whitney out on her irratic behavior at a time when she was and continued to be surrounded by enablers and people who were more interested in getting a check than worry about Whitney's well being. If her haters and the celebs who are scared to come on Wendy's show can't see that, then they're more stupid than we think.
