As promised, Madonna took to the stage to perform a few of her hits (Vogue, Music, Party Rock Anthem/Sexy And I Know It, Like A Prayer, Open Your Heart, Express Yourself and Give Me All Your Luvin), and the moment the Queen climbed off her throne, she reminded all the ageists, naysayers, and short-term amnesiacs why she is still a force to be reckoned with in the mainstream pop industry. I know people are going to pick at the fact that she lip-synced for her life (except for during Like a Prayer), but when you turn 53-years-old and to jump around on stage, do some cartwheels in five inch heels and shuffle alongside LMFAO, then you can throw shade. Until then, watch Madonna school the new school on how it's really done. You know Lady Gaga is sitting at home taking notes so that she can give us a community college bootleg version of this performance when she's asked to perform at the Super Bowl a few years from now.
