After a few days of post-production delay, Vevo finally premiered Adam Lambert's new music video for Better Than I Know Myself, the first single from his new album Tresspassing. While it's good to see Adam back on the charts, unfortunately we still have ignorant assholes out there who have nothing else better to do than to send evil, threatening (and I'm sure anonymous) messages online. GLAAD is taking action against Yahoo!'s website after discovering that 29% of the comments left on a new Lambert interview were comments threatening the American Idol runner-up's life (a violation of the company's terms).
One commenter wrote, "This is why a concentration camp is needed for homosexuals," while another said he wished Lambert would die by suicide.
Another commenter posted, "It would make my day if someone was to do to him what those men did to Matthew Shepard," an openly gay University of Wyoming student who was brutally murdered in a bias-motivated crime in 1998.
While it's good that Yahoo! removed all comments from their site, I find it quite interesting it took them so long to respond.
