Oh lord let us pray. The New York Post is reporting that reality superstar Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is with child. It's being alleged that the pint-sized Jersey Shore alum is “carrying her first child by boyfriend Jionni LaValle, and is roughly three months along.”
Earlier this month while promoting the show's fifth season Snooki denied on every talk show she stopped at that she was in fact with child, saying, “I definitely do want kids, but I’m not pregnant… Being pregnant should be a real thing and a happy thing, and I’m not.”
When she stopped at Watch What Happens Live (a show which features a bar on set) Snooki said she wasn't drinking because "she was on a diet." That should have been my first clue that she was lying, since Snooki has never been one to turn down a drink.
The Post, however, claims Snooki “lied,” and ”has already brokered a deal” to announce the news on the cover of a celebrity magazine. Snooki has not commented on whether or not this is true, but if it is you know it will play out on her new spin-off reality show, which is currently shooting with co-star JWOWW in a fire house in Jersey.
Personally I think this is a bad idea for her to be getting pregnant. i know she says she's in love with Jionni but if you watch the show their relationship is so messy. Snooki is fucking with her brand, which is that she makes her money being a falling-down drunken mess. The minute you bring a baby into the mix you best kiss your career good-bye, since many artists who have kids see a huge bump in their careers (see: J Lo, Mariah, Brandy, Britney Spears). Once you have a kid the shit that was cute on five seasons of Jersey Shore ain't so cute anymore.
