RIHANNA WORKING ON NEW ALBUM

A couple of days ago I was reading on the other blogs that Rihanna has been recording new tracks in her hotel room which had me thinking one question...does that mean Rihanna is working on a new album? Since We Found Love is her only hit to come off her new album Talk That Talk (which dropped three months ago and a few of the tracks were recorded in her hotel room), you would think this would be the time for the overworked and manufactured international pop star to take a break and regroup. But since she is the sole bread winner at Def Jam, she's opted to record new music for A) a Talk That Talk re-release or B) an entirely new album.

Rihanna has released a new album every year since she came on the scene, and I feel the reason why Talk That Talk hasn't responded well with listeners is because RiRi is more of a singles artist, and her latest album is full of filler tracks and no cohesive and memorable music. We Found Love, Cockiness (Love It), Where Have You Been and Talk That Talk. The rest of the album sounds like tracks left on the cutting-room floor from her Good Girl Gone Bad, Rated R and Loud CD's.  It would have been wise for the singer to make an EP and call it Louder (as an extention of her Loud album but the bitch got greedy).

Also, singer/songwriter Ester Dean is trying to drop a solo record of her own, and she's pretty much given Rihanna some of her biggest hits. I'm sure the recent Chris Brown collabo on Birthday Cake is an act of desperation (since the only hit from TTT is We Found Love, which she is still singing on live award shows), but all the song is doing is getting people to talk about your past abusive relationship with Breezy than the actual single itself. I understand performing is all Rihanna knows, but if she's not going to take care of herself soon, she may end up like either having a mental breakdown like Britney Spears or dead by the time she's 27 like Amy Winehouse. Take a damn break RiRi. You've solidified yourself as a artist and you have your hardcore fans. They won't hate you if you disappear from the charts for a year or two.

Watch the video below where producers Chase N' Status (Red Lipstick) talk about working with Rihanna on her next album...
