After years of keeping fans waiting, hip hop chameleon Missy Elliott has revealed that she will release her long-awaited new album Block Party in June, just in time for the summer.
Timbaland, who worked on the bulk of the album's production has also revealed that he will release his new album Shock Value 3 in June as well.
“Me and Missy are both coming with our albums at the same time, and it will be in June,” the super-producer revealed to MTV News.
Not only are hip hop's Sigfried & Roy set to release their albums within the same month, but the dynamic duo also want to release their album's fiest videos at the same time. “Right now, we’re preparing to get both our videos, our first singles, shot kinda at the same time,” added Timbo. “We want to do it as a movement and spontaneously.”
All I know is I can't wait for some new Missy. it's been seven years since we've gotten a new album from her and with Nicki garbaj dominating the charts with her shitty pop music disguised as hip hop, the world needs some Missy right now.
