MATT BOMER COMES OUT OF THE CLOSET

Rumors of Matt Bomer's sexuality have been fluent in the industry for years, but the White Collar actor made it official Saturday on stage at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards. During the actor's speech while he was accepting the New Generation Arts and Activism Award for his work in the fight against HIV/AIDS, Bomer thanked his partner Simon Halls and his three children.

For those of us who live in New York City, Matt Bomer was never secretive when it came to his sexuality, but the difference is when he was asked in interviews he never wanted to talk about his relationship status. I think people need to pay attention when celebrities talk, because if you're not gay a celebrity will in fact let you know they are not.

While I am glad that he found the time like at the Humanitarian Awards to talk openly about his sexuality, it does make you wonder if he decided to do damage control because OK Magazine outed him in the mag last week:
“In his spare time, Matt admits that he wants to start a charity of his own. ‘I think it’s important to choose something that’s really close to your heart. It would revolve around kids. If you can give kids a chance because they are what is carrying on our legacy.’ The actor shares three kids with his partner, Simon Halls.”

Either way I'm happy for him, and I am looking forward to the many projects he has coming up, such as
playing gay character Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss) older brother on “Glee” and playing a stripper in "Magic Mike."
