With The X Factor sans three judges, and The Voice about to give them some strong ratings competition come Fall, 2012, word on the street is that Simon Cowell, who said in a recent interview that he was interested in hiring Whitney Houston (before her untimely death) is now courting Janet Jackson to join The X Factor as a judge.
Miss Jackson stopped by Anderson earlier this week (the hour long interview will air next Monday) and was asked by the host if she is in talks to join the show, but she skirted around the question. According to The Hollywood Reporter Cowell is holding meetings with potential replacements this week, so we won't know for sure who are the strong contenders for the next couple of weeks.
Clearly someone is reading my blog because I said Janet would be perfect to join the show, since she is an entertainer (it also doesn't hurt to say that like Jennifer Lopez she could benefit from judging the show, since her music career could use a little reviving right now. We don't need another Paula, but we definitely need someone in there who can nurture her team of potential superstars, and teach them the ins and outs of the music business, as well as give them constructive criticism.
