DIDDY ANNOUNCES REVOLT MUSIC AND TV CABLE NETWORK

It's no secret that Diddy is set to launch his new music network REVOLT on 12/12/12, but the mogul has given us an insight into what we can expect from the music channel, which he says will combine music and social media in real time for the video-centric generation. REVOLT will also be distributed by Comcast as part of its initiative to add more minority-owned networks.

Says Diddy: “I’m honored by the opportunity to be part of this effort to bring diverse programming to the masses. Marked by this partnership with Comcast, my hope is that this new network will spark a revolution in entertainment and encourage other media and communications companies to bring REVOLT to their audiences. REVOLT TV is bringing that revolution that television needs,” explained Diddy in a YouTube video. “I grew up watching BET and MTV and HBO and NBC and I had a dream that one day I would get a chance, an opportunity to show my perspective coming from a musical standpoint.”

MTV should be called RTV since they no longer play music videos, and all you see on BET is straight nigger nonsense. What I like about this idea is that Diddy is looking to give artists more creative freedom with how they want to represent themselves in music. With Bad Boy artists Janelle Monae, Cassie, and Dirty Money alums Kalenna and Dawn Richard all pushing the envelope with their music and image, I'm really looking forward to seeing what changes Diddy's network will bring to the table. (P.S. the only way you're going to also do that is to also add a few gays on there as well and I don't mean in the background).
