CASH MONEY SIGNS LIMP BIZKIT; COLLABORATING WITH ASHANTI

It looks like after the success of manufactured hip pop artists such as Wheelchair Jimmy and Nicki Garbaj, Cash Money is on a roll, signing two former A-list musicians to their label. In addition to Lil Wayne's recent announcement that he signed Christina Milian, CM has also signed late 90's rap-metal group Limp Bizkit and will be working with Ashanti on her new album.

Lil Wayne spilled the tea to NYC radio station 98.7 KISS FM's Kissing After Dark: “As far as Cash Money, they’re always listening and looking at acts, so honestly, it’s like every other day I hear about somebody new just signed to Cash Money,” Weezy told host Lenny Green. “The other day I just found out Limp Bizkit signed to Cash Money. So they’re signing everybody and everybody’s getting a chance.”

Here's what Fred Durst, who in my opinion is the worst thing to happen to music since Right Said Fred, MC Hammer and Milli Vanilli said on Twitter: “Rock shit doesn’t rock anymore! They say the whole game done went pop so I’m back in this ho! #CMLB.”

Weezy didn't elaborate as what he's doing with Ashanti, but she already has her own label Written Entertainment, so if there's anything she'll be doing with Cash Money it's probably using the label to distribute her music (she already has a distribution deal with EMI), which is the smart thing to do if you ask me. But what this osunds like is Ashanti is probably collaborating with CM on music. As for Limp Bizkit, no one is really checking for them anymore. Otherwise their album Gold Cobra would have sold like their albums did over a decade ago. If you guys want some real rock music, I could recommend you to some folks far more worthy, because Limp Bizkit is shitty rock music for suburban frat boys who have had their lives handed to them on a siver platter and are still angry with the world.
