Hip hop stars Azalea Banks and Iggy Azalea are on a fast rise to success, but don't think the two will be collaborating on any music in the near future. Azalea made her disapproval known after seeing that rapper Iggy Azalea, who is a white girl from Australia is the first female to make the cover of XXL's Freshmen issue alongside Machine Gun Kelly, French Montana, Roscoe Dash, Future, Hopsin, Kid Ink, and more.
“Iggy Azalea on the XXL freshman list is all wrong,” fumed Banks on Twitter. “How can you endorse a white woman who called herself a ‘runaway slave master’?”
She continued, “Sorry guys. But I’m pro black girl. I’m not anti white girl, but I’m also not here for any1 outside of my culture trying to trivialize very serious aspects of it.”
Here is what Iggy, who is signed to T.I.'s Grand Hustle imprint had to say about Azealia's hateration: “You can’t block my blessings! Today I’m celebrating! Get with it or kick rocks!” she tweeted. “First female freshman. Ever. Period. Thanks world! I used to stick XXL on my bedroom door, now I’m on the cover. Life is great.”
The bisexual rapper from Harlem has also had some pretty harsh words to say at other artists, including Nicki Garbaj (The butt, the hair, the this, the that, all the other shit, like… As much respect that I have for her, we’ve seen you do this already, what else can you do?) and Kreayshawn (You’re a dumb bitch. And you can’t rap. I’ll sit on your face. … Fall back slut).
While personally I'm a fan of Azealia (P.S. why the fuck do these two chicks have the same name?), any white girl who says she's a runaway slave master on her song needs the shit slapped out of her. I would like your opinions on who has the skills to last much longer in this biz on a creative level (in the ranks of Santigold or M.I.A., not manufactured clowns like Nicki or Kreayshawn).
