After sometime anxiously awaiting for the follow-up to Mistaken (from his last album Music & Me), one of my favorite electro-pop artists Sirpaul Cucinello has unleashed a brand spankin' new track called The Beat of My Heart, and, of course it does not disappoint. Heavily influenced by the 80's and swathed in lush synths, this has to so far be my favorite track from Mr. Sirpaul, who, like a bottle of your most expensive bottle of wine seems to get better with every new song (a rarity among most openly gay artists who have great ideas but their vocals and musical aesthetic tend to not match up to the hype).
I know he's been busy with his other side project Simulover (which also features the legendary DJ/producer Alex Lauterstein), but I'm just glad Sirpaul is giving us what we need right now - some tracks to werk our pussies to on the dance floor. And the good thing is since The Whores of Avalon is coming back this month for it's long-awaited second season (with my co-host Chauncey D), I would love to get an interview with the Duke of Electro-Pop Ear Candy.
