A few months back I reported that due to poor record sales and not meeting the ass-kissing demands of the mainstream,
I also went on to constantly talk about his album Do It In The A.M., which in my opinion was the best electro pop album from a male artist most of you have never heard. Well earlier this month Vincent Frank killed his former persona, and re-emerged as Vincent Did It. The singer/DJ/producer is currently without a label, which has given him free reign to experiment with new music and figure out who he is as an artist. We got a little taste of what Vincent Did It has to offer when earlier this month we heard the new track Dymano, which took us back to the early experimental days of his music.
After a good response to Dymano, Vince has given us a brand spankin' new video for his new song So You're Alive, released via his KillerPop Records Youtube page. I think if Vince marries the grittiness of the synth pop music he's been doing currently with the sleek, catchy electro pop he brought on the Do It In The A.M. record, Vince Did It would be dangerous.
I had the opportunity to catch Vince as the opening act on Erasure's brilliant Tomorrow's World Tour, and he is definitely a force to be reckoned with. I believe in you Vince, and hope with all the drama you are going through currently in regards to how to keep your integrity in tact while trying to meet major label demands, you will get the respect in the music industry for making great dance tracks, a recognition well deserved. I like this new side of Vince, and can't wait to hear more.
