VIDEO: SCISSOR SISTERS VS. KRYSTAL PEPSY - SHADY LOVE


As promised, Scissor Sisters have unleashed a brand new track from their untitled new album, and it is giving me life! Jake Shears raps over a ferosh 90's house/freestyle beat that midway through turns into a fierce electro track and borrows from dancehall, and even has some bleeps that reminded me of early Basement Jaxx. At one point I was thinking SS were going back to the days when I used to live for the legendary bitch tracks that were done by the many black and latino drag queens that I grew up admiring in NYC like Laritza Dumont, Roxy and Miss Fernando. Love the song, but unfortunately, I despise the video. The track was produced by Alex 'Boyz Noise' Ridha and co-written with Azealia 'Cool List' Banks (aka Krystal Papsy). Scissor Sisters will release the follow-up to Night Work in the Spring. In the meantime, check out the video below...
