After coming under fire for saying he would turn into Captain Save-A-Ho if he was on Flight 93 back on 9/11, actor Mark Wahlberg has apologized for his insensitivity and the delusional gall in believing he could kick a bunch of terrorist's asses in real life.
Here's what he said before the backlash:
"If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, 'OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.'"
And here is his "I'm sowwy" haiku courtesy of TMZ:
"To speculate about such a situation is ridiculous to begin with. I deeply apologize to the families of the victims that my answer came off as insensitive, it was certainly not my intention."
It's easy to say such things when A) you've made a career of doing shitty action movies like the recently released Contraband and B) when you're not on the plain when such things are happening. Sometimes when you're no longer getting arrested in Boston and you're entire career is made from you playing tough guys on screen, and playing golf in your spare time, just sit back, collect your checks and shut the fuck up. Leave the ass kicking to the professionals, like the brave men of Seal Team 6, mmmkay? Because it's real hard to take a guy who made a living singing Good Vibrations seriously.
