LIL KIM PUTS CAREER ON HOLD TO SUPPORT FLOYD MAYWEATHER IN COURT
Many Lil Kim fans were excited to hear when the Queen Bee announced that she would be releasing a new EP and album this year as well as announcing her new major label home.
Now comes word that Kimmy Blanco will be putting her new music on hold until later this year so that she can show her support for good friend Floyd Gayweather. According to TMZ, the legendary raptress cencelled all of her New Years Eve appearances, and recently showed up in court to show her support for the heavyweight champion, who will servie 90 days in prison for domestic violence against one of his many baby muvvas in Las Vegas. Floyd won't have to turn himself in to the police until June 1st, so that he can train for his fight on May 5th. So more than likely we won't get new music from Kim until the end of the year.
I guess after becoming good friends with Floyd through the boxer's "good friend" 50 Cent (giving side-eye), Kim feels she's obligated to show some loyalty. I just don't know what does her loyalty to Floyd have to do with releasing new music? I know Fiddy worked on a new duet with Kim ( I still bump to their track Magic Stick), but unless Floyd is funding her project I don't see why the delay.
Check out footage of Kim and Ray J (another side-eye) leaving the courthouse below...
It has also been reported that the boxing champ, will not have to report to jail until June 1st, so that he can attend his fight in Las Vegas on May 5th. Once he reports to jail, he will serve a 90 day sentence, which means the "whole ordeal" won't be over until approximately September. This means Kimmy Blanco fans won't be able to get their hands on that comeback EP, or LP that she's been promising until September or later. TMZ caught up with Lil Kim and Ray J as they left the courthouse the other day in support of Floyd. Check out the footage after the break.
