CW DEVELOPING SPIN-OFF SERIES FOR GREEN ARROW
While some of us male superhero fans feel a bit empty after Smallville was cancelled, it looks like the CW is about to finally fill that void. While I am a little irritated that the CW has pretty much catered their entire demographic to the female audience, word on the street is that the network my be bringing Samllville fan favorite Green Arrow to the channel for his own spin-off series.
While I am excited about this news, the thing that I am upset about is that Justin hartley won't be signing on to reprise the role of Oliver Queen/green Arrow.
Executive producers/writers are Greg Berlanti (Brothers & Sisters) and Marc Guggenheim (FlashForward), who worked on last year’s Green Lantern film are developing the series for television, along with Andrew Kreisberg (Vampire Diaries, Fringe, Green Arrow comic book). Berlanti Productions is producing in association with Warner Bros. Television.
If they follow the same formula that made Smallville last a whopping 10 solid years on TV, I'll be there to support the series when it airs. I do think they need to reconsider having Hartley reprise the role.
