CHRISTINA AGUILERS TALKS NEW ALBUM

As the pop singer with the golden voice prepares for the second season of The Voice to premiere in a few weeks, Christina Aguilera dished a bit about what we can expect from the follow-up to her 2010 album Bionic:

“I’m recording my next album right now,” the mother of one confirmed the follow-up to her 2010 album “Bionic”. She later added, “And I’m really excited because I find myself in a very introspective stage of my life.” “I’ve learned so much, have experienced so much, in leaps and bounds,” the former Disney star went on. “It’s a journey of growth for me, continuously throughout my career. I’m excited to put it all down on paper through my lyrics and my voice.”

While there weren't a lot of great songs to come off the electronic music experiment that was Bionic, I did like the music she did with Sia. I thought Stripped showed off the best sides of Xtina (the naughty with the sensual and vulnerable), and I liked the swing era of Back To Basics, but the Bionic era I didn't feel was really who she was as an artist. I think she has yet to find the balance within using her voice as a proper instrument. Sometimes she oversings, which comes off a bit showy and then there are times she's doesn't bring the vocals enough. That being said, I'm actually looking forward to seeing what she brings to the next album.
