ASTRO SIGNS TO EPIC RECORDS

15-year-old rapper and X Factor contestant Astro has just landed a major label deal. After he was rumored to be picked up by Roc Nation (which he denied on The Wendy Williams Show), the Brooklyn MC, whose real name is Brian Bradley has just signed a deal with Epic Records and will be mentored once again by L.A. Reid. Fellow X Factor peers Chris Rene, Marcus Canty, and winner Melanie Amaro have also been signed to Epic..

“I’m excited to continue my journey with L.A. Reid and his staff at the new Epic Records,” said Astro, also known as the Astronomical Kid. “The first time L.A. saw me he said I’d be a star, and I can’t wait to get to work and prove him right. 2011 was Dope, but 2012 is gonna be Epic!”

Since people loved Astro for the songs he covered like Naughty By Nature's Hip Hop Hooray and Missy Elliott's Get Your Freak On, I think the best way to market him is as a party rapper like Will Smith was back in the day (just with better songs). Just no collabos with Willow or Justin Bieber.
