All it took was for most people (like myself) to check out the commercial for new drag sitcom Work It to realize it would be the worst sitcom since Homeboys From Outer Space (or if you really want to go old school, Amos & Andy). Plenty of LGBT groups were up in arms over the fact that ABC, who has had a very good gay track record with shows like Modern Family, Brothers & Sisters and Ugly Betty would stoop so low as to air such a monstrosity about two unemployed men who dress in drag to land an office job because there's a conspiracy against employing men in the work place. Never mind the fact that there are more unfunny stereotypical jokes in one episode than Will & Grace employed in an entire season. I'm sure when ABC cancels this shit like another turd like the new Tim Allen sitcom, they'll be begging for the LGBT community's forgiveness in no time. If you want to watch a much funnier show with drag queens, might I recommend season four of Rupaul's Drag Race, which airs on January 30? At least then you'll be guaranteed your money's worth of entertainment. In the meantime, I'll continue to hope that mainstream Hollywood will catch up with the rest of the world in regards of not loking at drag queens or cross-dressers as the butt of the joke.
