BEYONCE SLATED TO GO #1 WITH 4, COLUMBIA PLANS TO RUN ALBUM INTO THE GROUND
Beyonce has been everywhere this week promoting her new album, stopping by Glastonbury, X Factor in France, a special airing on MTV and BET tonight called "The Year of 4" and gearing up for a live performance on GMA tomorrow. Well the estimated numbers have come in for her new album 4, and while she will debut at #1 with 200-275 copies of her new album sold.
While those are big numbers in this era of illegal downloading, it's not big if you're Beyonce. It also helped that she didn't really have stiff competition, with Limp Bizkit, Selena Gomez, David Cook all releasing records this week.
Columbia, who it was rumored to be worried that her album will flop has put plenty of money into making sure this turd sells like hot cakes. Bey's longtime label just confirmed that they will promote the new album for the next 18 months with countless music video releases and extensive touring.
“The main concentration for the next few months is to get this record working everywhere,” Stringer says. “She’s well versed in being a global artists. The touring plan is extensive. The promo plan is extensive. We also know we’re going to put out a lot of singles and…shoot a lot of videos from the record. There’s enough positive information that we think we can work the record for another 18 months, and hopefully over that period we’ll all be proved right that this is an important record and a commercially successful record.”
Now that the numbers are in, let's see (just like I said about Gaga's lackluster sophomore album) if she can sustain those numbers. Bey does have a couple of hot songs on the new album, but I don't see how it's possible they can milk this album for 18 months when as a whole the CD is uneven. I can't stand Run The World, but she sells it every time when she hits the stage, so I have a feeling Columbia will use Bey's live performances of the lackluster tracks to sell the music.
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE BECOMES OWNER OF MYSPACE
While so many stans are hungry for new music from Justin Timberlake, the singer/actor has done something no one expected, but then again if you think about it it's not surprising. Timberlake, who played Sean Parker in the Facebook-inspired film The Social Network has sunk some of his coin into Myspace, taking ownership in the fledgling social website which has suffered a massive decline over the years after Facebook came on the scene.
“There’s a need for a place where fans can go to interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect,” said Timberlake in a statement.
“MySpace has the potential to be that place.”
“Art is inspired by people and vice versa, so there’s a natural social component to entertainment. I’m excited to help revitalize MySpace by using its social media platform to bring artists and fans together in one community.”
“We’re thrilled about the opportunity to rebuild and reinvigorate MySpace,” said Tim Vanderhook, CEO of Specific Media. “We look forward to partnering with someone as talented as Justin Timberlake, who will lead the business strategy with his creative ideas and vision for transforming MySpace.
Facebook has become not only restrictive in what they allow on the site, but to be honest, I feel the reason the social networking site is still thriving is because there's nothing that's come along to get people away from Facebook. if Myspace can bring something new technology-wise along and get people into the site again, then I think that will be just the thing to get their revenue back. Hopefully with JT's experience in music and his role in The Social Network (which I think with his research on the role gives him a better understanding of how social media works) will give him an advantage. Who knows maybe he'll throw some free music up on there. I still have my profile page so I'll check it out once it's revamped.
JOE ROGAN SIGNS ON TO HOST FEAR FACTOR 2.0
We all know that NBC has revived their competition series Fear Factor, and they've tapped a familiar face as host. According to TV Guide Magazine Joe Rogan, who originally hosted the series from 2001 to 2006 has signed on to host the series once again.
“It doesn’t seem real,” Rogan told the mag. ”It seems like some sort of bizarro dream world. But I’m looking forward to it. The idea of sitting at home and watching someone else host it would have driven me crazy.”
The eight-episode revival of Fear Factor premieres in September.

WORLD PREMIERE VIDEO: COUNTESS LuANN DE LESSEPS - CHIC C'EST LA VIE
Last year 46-year-old Real Housewife of New York City reality star Countess LuAnn De Lesseps taught us that elegance is learned when she released her debut single Money Can't Buy You Class upon us classless heathens Now reality TV's Queen of Eleganza has returned with a new single Chic C'est La Vie that'll get you queefing Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir? in no time. Chic C'est La Vie, along with a Moroccan mix (most likely inspired by the cast's recent trip there that aired two weeks ago on Bravo) and a club mix by L. Fontana and G. Newman. Check out the video for Chic C'est La Vie, which features cameos from fellow New York housewives Kelly Bensimon and Jill Zarin, download it on iTunes and let me know what you think. Ya habibi bitches!
HOTTIE OF THE DAY: NATE ADAMS
Actor/Model Nate Adams turned me out something fierce in the debut episode of Noah's Arc when he had his little sex scene with Christian Vincent in his clothing boutique.
AURAL ORGASM: JORDAN KNIGHT Feat. DONNIE WAHLBERG - STINGY
Earlier this year Jordan Knight took us to the dance floor with his single Higher, from his new album in 12 years Unfinished. Now the 41-year-old pop singer returned with the second single Stingy featuring his NKOTB band mate Donnie Wahlberg which he premiered On Air With Ryan Seacrest. He told the radio & TV host that Stingy came about at the last minute around the time he was mixing the new album's final tracks.
“Donnie heard me playing it at rehearsal and was like….’Why didn’t you have ME do that part?!’” said the 41-year-old singer/songwriter. “It was a natural fit for Donnie, we just didn’t have the time to do it before turning in the album. So we decided after that album was released to recut it with him on it, include it on my album, make it my next single, and shoot a video.”
“Doing this song together was a natural fit,” said Donnie. “Not because we are bandmates, but because are styles are so complimentary.” Mixing Pop, R&B and Hip Hop, the song clearly bridges the gap between the early 90s to 2011 according to the duo.
Listen to the song below and click here to download the song when it hits iTunes at midnight tonight!
AURAL ORGASM: RAJA - DIAMOND CROWNED QUEEN (Prince Vince Remix)
When RuPaul's Drag Race season 3 winner Raja released her debut single back in May, I have to admit I couldn't tolerate listening to it for more than 30 seconds before I had to turn it off. That nail-in-the-head-drilling beat damn near drove me bat shit insane!
So when a DJ by the name of Prince Vince did the inevitable and turned this song into a fierce club anthem, it had me gagging for points. i guarantee this remix will have the children werking the dance floor and doing runway in no time flat. Now all someone needs to do it take this remix and put it over the video and get it played on some monitors in the clubs.

AURAL ORGASM: BJORK - CRYSTALLINE (Edit:Erase Remix)
Shortly after Bjork's new single Crystalline leaked online to positive reviews, the remixes have begun to pour in. Edit:Erase has unleashed their aurally bizarre remix of the track, which plays the beat in reverse and adds a few bells and whistles along the way that you would expect on a Rosabel house track. I'm also loving the cover art (shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin), which shows a faceless Bjork with fiery red hair that would leave Rihanna green with envy. What I love about the original track is that it's like the musical equivalent of an onion. The more you listen to it and peel the layers back, you discover sounds you didn't hear before. What I also love about Bjork is that she's always pushing the envelope when it comes to incorporating new sounds with technology (something BT does a lot as well). The singer has even created a new instrument called the Gameleste, which combines the Celeste and Gamelan and you can even play it remotely with a MIDI keyboard. I cannot wait to see this machine played on an actual stage. In the meantime, check out the a making of the instrument and the original version of Crystalline in case you haven't heard it yet.

BEYONCE SHUTS DOWN FRANCE WITH PERFORMANCES ON X FACTOR & LE GRAND JOURNAL
Bey is working her ass off to get people to buy her lackluster new album. After appearing on Piers Morgan on Monday tearing the roof off over at X Factor France and expectations to shut down NYC with her GMA performance on Friday, MTV and BET will air a TV special “Beyoncé: Year of 4,”on June 30 at 7 PM. I would have posted the performance, but I have been noticing an unfortunate trend that every Beyonce live performance gets blocked on YouTube. What's up with that? Anyways, check out her Best Thing I Never Had performance and her Glastonbury performance of Run The World below...
CHER CONFIRMS SHE'S WORKING ON A DANCE ALBUM
Okay I have officially died and gone to gay heaven three times this year. The first time was earlier this year when I learned that Madonna was working on a dance record. The second was when I witnessed the fabulosity that is Kylie Minogue for the second time when she came into New York City in May for her Aphrodite tour. And the third time is when the legendary Cher took to Twatter to let her fans know that her next album will also be a dance record. I've always loved the different sides and era's of Cher, but with the exception of Believe which was played to death back in the day I actually love dance diva Cher the most.
New album ( So Old school) is WAY DANCE !
Not only will she be recording a new dance record, but she also revealed that she will be recording a new song with her mother. Literally shaking and crying right now. This is actually good news because there were earlier rumors that she was planning to record a Country album which I thought was a bad idea. Leave that shit for Reba and Shania. We love you on the dance floor. I just hope when she decides to tour this album she won't do the Caesar's Palace thing again because I'm not traveling all the way to Vegas to see her perform. That's what retirees do. Now to remind you bitches how fierce Cher is on a dance floor, check out some of my favorite dance tracks below...
ALBUM TRACKLISTING: KELLY ROWLAND - HERE I AM
They always say speak something into the ether and it comes to light. Yesterday I premiered the original and deluxe cover arts for Kelly Rowland's highly-anticipated new album Here I Am, which was shot by celebrity photographer Derek Blanks. In less than 24 hours the track-listing has been unleashed upon us. The standard album will feature 10 tracks with collaborations from Big Sean, Rico Love and Lil Wayne while the Deluxe edition will include four songs including a remix of Motivation and the Urban Remix to Commander (the latter which was my least favorite remix of hers but I see what Universal/Motown is doing as far as marketing her new album to a urban audience instead of on a global scale).. I was at least expecting to get at least 16 tracks on the deluxe like Britney and J Lo did for the deluxe editions of their albums. They could have added Rose Colored Glasses, Grown Woman and Forever & A Day to the deluxe edition but I have a feeling her European audience will be getting those songs. I'm just glad to get some new music from K-Row because her time to shine has been a long time coming. Here I Am will be in stores on July 26.

TRAILER TRASH: MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - GHOST PROTOCOL
After hearing so much about in the press about this flick being shot all over the world for the past couple of months, the first exclusive trailer for Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol has finally arrived. Tom Cruise reprises his role as Ethan Hunt for the fourth time, and other than Ving Rhames (who has been in all the movies), Tom's working with a new team of spies including Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Josh Holloway, Tom Wilkinson and Paula Patton. After director JJ Abrams (who serves as producer) kicked the franchise up a notch with wall-to-wall high-octane action in M: I 3, you know they had to bring it for the new film, especially since Tom Cruise is a bit long in the tooth as an action star. I've been a fan of all the films, and I most definitely can't wait to see this one. Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol will be in theaters in December.

MADONNA CELEBRATES MARRIAGE EQUALITY WITH LIVE I LOVE NEW YORK PERFORMANCE
Madonna has unleashed special live footage of her Confessions On A Dancefloor song I Love New York that was shot at the Wembley arena in the U.K. in celebration of same-sex marriage passing on Friday. via her YouTube account and Facebook page. As you all know Madonna has long been a standing advocate of gay rights before it became chic for certain pop singers I will not mention here, and on June 17 she sent out a statement through her manager Guy Oseary to encourage her fans to "tell their state congressman to support the same-sex marriage bill" in New York.
"All you need is love," she wrote in a tweet.
As for her new album, the Queen of Pop is currently in Europe working on her new album. So far the producer(s) she's chosen for the project have been kept under wraps, but you all know I will keep you posted as this story develops. Werk!
WAREHOUSE 13 TO ADD GAY REGULAR ON SHOW
Throughout the years. Syfy has always had a great track record of science fiction original programming from the wackiness of Eureka to the edgy reboot of Battlestar: Galactica. Even their seriously bad Saturday night monster movies are worth a look (along with a couple of blunts and a couple of shots of Vodka).i also think with Torchwood coming back (on STARZ in July), this is the perfect time for more gays or sexually fluid characters exploring the world of sci-fi. One of my favorite shows Warehouse 13 is about to go gay. Out Magazine recently sat down with actor Aaron Ashmore (his twin brother Shawn played Iceman in the X Men movies), best known for his role as Jimmy Olsen on Smallville and for his role in the film Prom Queen (where he polayed a gay high school student) to talk about the show's decision to make his character gay.
Aaron, can you tell us a little bit about your character Steve, who joins the show this season?
Aaron: Steve Jinks is a young ATF agent who has the ability to tell when someone is lying. He can look you in the eye and just know automatically. So he’s recruited into the Warehouse because of this talent.
And the reason we’re talking about him is because… Steve is also gay. Why is the show going gay now?
Jack: Actually, Syfy suggested it. We were pitching this character and a couple of the execs are gay and said, “What if Steve was gay?” We immediately jumped on the idea -- but it’s just a part of who he is, it doesn’t define the character.
Aaron, how does that affect how you think about your character and how you play him?
Aaron: It’s in the back of my mind, but the show’s not really about romantic relationships. These people’s lives are crazy trying to save the world, so there’s not a lot of time for love. I think when he interacts with some people, in the back of my mind as an actor, I’ll decide that he thinks a guy is cute. But it doesn’t play into how he does his job.
Well, since you brought it up, what do you think his type is?
Aaron: I don’t think Steve’s into muscles. He’s more laid-back. I picture him with someone similar to himself.
I think there’s an important distinction, though, between characters on television that we see in gay relationships and friendships, and those that we don’t.
Jack: It’s the same thing with the straight characters. There’s really no time for that. Last season, we tried to get into relationship stuff and what we found that we really don’t have the space. They’re always out in the field!
In the past few seasons, television has seen a flood of new gay characters. Why do you think the word came down from Syfy that now was the time to get on board with that movement?
Jack: We’re always looking to bring diverse characters into our show, so it was just a question of who else do we want to include? In the first incarnation of Steve, we were looking for an Asian actor for the part, but didn’t find anyone that had the right chemistry with our cast. And even when Steve was going to be Asian, he was going to be gay. We wanted that dynamic.
What’s Steve’s back story as a gay man? Is he out? Do his parents know?
Jack: We haven’t explored a lot of Steve’s history, other than we know he has a sister. In the back of my head, it was a difficult coming out. I don’t think his parents were accepting right away. Steve’s an emotionally conservative guy and I think that came from the way his parents reacted. I think he’s been in a couple of relationships and he’s hurt. He’s hesitant about opening himself up to somebody. These are things we’ll explore as we get to know the character more, but I base a lot of that on how Aaron has played the character. It’s fun to watch him fill out Steve.
I’ll admit, sci-fi isn’t really a genre I immediately think of as being gay.
Jack: There’s a surprising number of gay characters in sci-fi –- in Caprica, in Torchwood. I always wondered why there weren’t more gay characters in Star Trek if it was so far into the future. It’s interesting how futuristic shows still adhere to current mores. I think our fans love the show -– the tone, the way we approach story telling, the family aspect -– so the important thing Steve brings to the show is another Warehouse brother. And that’s what’s so great about him being gay: it doesn’t matter.
Will there be ripple effects now that there’s a gay character on Syfy’s most-watched show?
Jack: No, I don’t think there will be, thankfully. We as a minority group have achieved a lot of what we’ve hoped to in the entertainment industry in that a gay character just happens to be gay. I think people will respond a lot more to what Aaron brings to the screen rather than what Steve being gay brings. It’s more about the individual, and Steve’s an exceptionally good guy. That’s a wonderfully quality for a gay character to have, because he’s someone you want to get to know. Any minority group is scary until you put a face on it.
Lastly, because we’re talking about gay sci-fi characters, I think it’s only natural that we discuss which of the Star Wars characters was most likely gay. Thoughts?
Aaron: I think it would be Luke. Definitely not Han.
Jack: We all want Han. He’s my dream.
The only woman we saw Luke kiss was his sister, so maybe that’s telling.
Jack: You’d have to be gay to do that, right? But, you know, Chewy would be in the bear community. And Obi-Wan certainly could be an old queen at times. C-3PO was the obvious gay. Actually, maybe they’re all gay.
Aaron: So that’s what a Jedi is.

PATRIK IAN POLK'S NEW INDIE THE SKINNY
Have you all been wondering what's the de-ga-ga with Patrik Ian Polk? Don't think dealing with the racist ass wipes over at LOGO who prematurely canceled his highly-rated series Noahs Arc has slowed him down. The openly gay writer/director/producer is hard at work shooting his latest project in Brooklyn called The Skinny which stars an ensemble cast of hotties such as Anthony Burrell, Jussie Smollett ( brother of Jurnee), Blake Young-Fountain, and cameos from some of your favorite out actors such as Darryl Stephens, Wilson Cruz, Nathan hale Williams, and b. Scott.
Here's a synopsis of the film courtesy of Andre's Flava:
THE SKINNY tells the story of five Brown University classmates who reunite one year after graduation for Gay Pride weekend in New York City. Magnus has just completed his first year of medical school and is excited to see his friends & introduce them to his new man, Ryan. Angelic Sebastian has recently returned from a year in Paris and looks forward to finally losing his virginity. Devilish trustafarian playboy Kyle is up to his old tricks, bagging as many hot bodied men as possible. Atlanta native Joey is hiding a few secrets, not including the obvious pounds he's packed on since graduating. And acid-tongued black British lesbian Langston tries to hold her own with the boys in the Big Apple. Through three action-packed days of sex, drama, secrets, lies & laughter- these five college pals discover just how much can change in one short year. And you won't believe what goes down at the Gay Pride Parade!
VIDEO: SWIZZ BEATZ Feat. RICK ROSS & MEEK HILL - REEBOK BACK
Swizz Beatz seems to really love his name brand shoes. After dropping every name brand (from Dior to Louboutin) in the lyrics to his hit single Everyday (Coolin') with Eve, the mega producer has returned with a follow-up video called Reebok Back featuring appearances by Rick Ross and Meek Hill, which is actually a remake of the latter artist's single Tupac Back. Not a fan of Reebok's, but whatever floats your boat.
FIRST LOOK: KELLY ROWLAND - HERE I AM (Album & Deluxe Edition Sleeve)

While most of us (including myself) is still GAGGING something fierce over Kelly Rowland's show stopping performace of her hit single Motivation at the BET Awards this past Sunday, the R&B/dance queen has unleashed two different covers of her upcoming third album Here I Am. The first cover is the standard 12-track album and the second pic is the Deluxe edition, which I'm hoping will feature more dance tracks that we know the European audience will get more of. What I don't understand is why don't they just release the deluxe album as the record period instead of releasing two different versions. Fans of the artist usually go for the record with more songs anyway. I just see it as the labels being greedy. Here I Am, which will feature production by David Guetta, Tricky Stewart, Rodney Jerkins and Rico Love will be in stores on July 26. As soon as the track-listing drops I will most definitely put you guys on. Anyways, I know it's been out for a while but I made a hot dance mix this morning and one of the tracks I used was the Diplo remix of Motivation, which you can listen to below...
A FORMER REAL HOUSE WHORE HAS A NEW SINGLE
Former Real Housewife of D.C. reality media whore Michaele Salahi may have garnered allot of haters by becoming famous alongside her opportunist husband for gate crashing a White House party, and faking a short but thankfully sweet term on Celebrity Rehab. But now the heifer's found a new way to extend her five minutes of fame by unleashing a new pop song. Sorry but I rather listen to Danielle Staub grind her beef curtains against a rusty stripper pole while singing Close To You on repeat as I'm being water boarded before I rape my ears again with this song. This is so laugh out loud awful I wouldn't be me if I passed this up and didn't put you guys onto this. You've been warned!
VIDEO: DRAKE - MARVIN'S ROOM
Fresh from the BET Awards, Drake has premiered his brand new video for Marvin's Room, the first single from his forthcoming album Take Care. The video definitely captures the mood of the song, which is a rarity these days with so many videos from mainstream artists being so expensive but never making any logical sense. Check out a drunk Drake slurring it through the streets of his native Toronto as well as the Chris Brown remix below...

VIDEO: DAVID GUETTA Feat. NICKI MINAJ & FLO RIDA - WHERE DEM GIRLS AT
Finally the music video for Where Dem Girls At has finally premiered and I have to say it's his best if not most creative video yet. Even DG steps out of his comfort zone a little bit which isn't always a bad thing since he's always hiding behind the decks. Watch as the ladies of L.A. get taken over by David's infectious beat below and make sure you cop his 5th album Nothing But The Beat, which will be in stores August 30.
VIDEO: SOLOMON - BANG! BANG!
Independent Electronic Hip Pop recording artist Solomon has already blessed us with his video called Wit Us You Can't feat. Bry'NT a few months back. Now the out pop singer has returned with a brand spankin' new video called Bang! Bang! off his new EP The Love Rocker Project which you can download now on iTunes.com.
Here's what he had to say about the meaning behind the video:
“For the video I wanted something very raw. A little stripped down so you could see the emotion. A bit of New York, a lot of grime and a bit of sadness,” explains Solomon. “The Love Rocker is a guy who has an edge to him but has a very soft side underneath. I wanted this video to convey that.”
A job well done indeed on getting your point across and taking it guerrilla-style. Check out Solomon's sexy new video below...
AURAL ORGASM: ANGELO - HANDS DOWN
Muy caliente pop singer Angelo is back with the perfect dance tune just in time for summer called Hands Down, courtesy of Aztec Records. Also just in time for the single's release, a couple of sexy shots of the up-and-cummer have hit the web courtesy of photographer Marko Kalfa at Le Bain NYC (one of them you can look at above). So get them hands up and turn up your speakers for Hands Down below and download it here...
