Actress Vivica A. Fox opened up about her recent engagement to 27-year-old ex-fiancee Slimm, after he revealed the reason behind their break up was due to a few things, such as "flaws outweighed the relationship’. He also stated that he hated negativity and drama and lack of communication also played a major part in their decision to call it quits.
Vivica sat down with Access Hollywood to tell her side of the story, and says although she was looking forward to getting married, she opted to pay attention to the warning signs and bail before it descended into Kuntrashian territory. Read some of the highlights (via Necole Bitchie) below...
On if she had the feeling it wasn’t going to work
Sometimes in relationships there are warning signs (I’ve been married before) and if there are warning signs you should pay attention to them before you get families involved, all the hoopla and things like that. If things aren’t working out, it’s okay to move on.
On if she’s dating
No, I haven’t moved on to another one. I’m enjoying being single for a little while and regrouping and focusing on myself and my career and being happy and positive.
On if it’s hard to find a man in Hollywood
Sometimes when you’re successful you just have to make sure that someone is coming to you with real intentions. That means taking the time to get to know them for real and make sure they’re not dating you as the celebrity but they’re dating you as a person. I mean you are who you are if you are a celebrity. But that does make it a little bit difficult to make sure that someone isn’t marrying you for a shopping spree.
On if she has a specific type
To be honest with you, I don’t know. I told myself I’m going to try something different next time ‘cause I happen to fall in love with a six pack and a smile and look what that’s gotten me.
Casper Smart, I hope you're reading this because this is what you're going to have to deal with when you're in your twenties and you feel you've hit a gold mine with a demanding diva over 40. As for Vivica, maybe it's time you find yourself someone in your age range that will fufill you sexually, spiritually or emotionally? Because it seems like the hood rat types you pick are very immature. I'm not saying you need to date someone who is ancient and needs Metamucil to help him go to the bathroom, but maybe you need to broaden your options as far as a type of man you go for.
