90's rock trio Hanson (aka the original Jonas Brothers), who many may know from their huge (and only) hit MMMbop are set to launch their very own brew of beer. The boys, who are still making music (independently) and will kick off a tour to support their latest album in January, spoke at Oxford University about their latest venture:
“We of course make records, they are fundamental to what we do, but we wanted to create a brand so that our fans have a greater experience,” said drummer Zac. “What is vital is that Hanson merchandise is quality and not made solely with the purpose of profit. We have a board game and even a record player to play our last record on, but we will never make dolls, lunch boxes or toothbrushes that play our songs, for example. It’s vital our fans trust in everything Hanson do. We are soon going to be selling our own beer. I’m not joking — Mmmhop IPA anyone?”
While I haven't bought a Hanson record since their debut, I'll definitely check out their beer when it comes out.
